Latest Verified Patch: 1.0302256

· 6 min read

The latest patch in this site's November 5, 2026 material set is version 1.0302256. It adds audio options and PC Interact/Talk remapping, adjusts selected combat behavior, changes shader compilation and addresses several performance and bug cases. This is a dated source snapshot rather than a live patch tracker.

New options and combat changes

The official note adds Hit Sound Intensity and Hit Impact Sound Intensity audio settings. On PC, it also adds remapping support for Interact/Talk on keyboard and controller. Those are specific settings changes, so they should not be expanded into a claim that every action was newly remappable.

The combat adjustments include selected bosses and enemies and some environmental mechanisms. Hua's grab frequency is reduced on Wayfarer and Pathbreaker, with other difficulties explicitly unaffected. A headline saying the boss was made easier should therefore be checked against the difficulty you actually play.

Shader compilation and controller performance

The PC shader process is changed to reduce startup work, with ray-tracing shaders no longer compiled by default at every initial startup path. Players who previously had ray tracing disabled perform a one-time recompilation after the patch. Enabling ray tracing later causes the relevant shaders to compile separately on the next restart.

The note also reports reduced stuttering with Bluetooth-connected controllers. NVIDIA Reflex Auto behavior with V-Sync enabled is another separately named adjustment. These changes are useful context for troubleshooting, but none proves that every unrelated frame-rate problem has been resolved.

Bug fixes have limited descriptions

The official list includes progression-blocking conditions, environmental sticking, cutscene and visual issues, and several combat problems. It also names a hair-rendering problem on certain AMD graphics cards with particular driver versions. The note does not provide enough detail to attach every community-reported bug to one of those broad categories.

Updated descriptions and controller icons are also mentioned. If a guide's wording differs from the current in-game text, compare the actual item or skill rather than assuming that an old screenshot is always authoritative. The source does not justify inventing a complete list of changed numerical values when those values are not supplied.

Mods and source dates

S-GAME warns that some third-party mods are incompatible with the update and advises removing them if problems appear. That is particularly relevant when a modified installation begins crashing or behaving differently immediately after patching. Test the unmodified game before adding another modification advertised as a fix.

The official-site note is dated November 3, while the collected Steam announcement is dated November 4. This page preserves that distinction without inventing a timezone explanation or describing them as separate builds. Use the version number and the linked official announcement when comparing the update with a guide or support report.

Check the platform and difficulty labels

The patch includes changes with different scopes, so a useful reading starts with the label attached to each item. PC shader behavior is not a console setup instruction, and Hua's specified Wayfarer and Pathbreaker adjustment is not evidence of an identical Hellwalker change. Preserve those qualifiers when deciding which part of the update affects your current playthrough.

The website and Steam dates describe publication on different channels. They do not by themselves establish two builds with different combat behavior. Use the version number when matching an installation to the note, then compare the actual listed change with your symptom or encounter.

Make one reversible comparison at a time

Record where the issue happens, which patch is installed and whether the same action reliably reproduces it. A crash during launch, a long shader-compilation screen and a hitch while moving through a particular area are different symptoms. Keeping those cases separate makes it easier to judge a change and avoids applying an unrelated fix merely because it appears in a search result.

Finish pending client updates and verify the installation if files may be incomplete. On Steam, the documented check is under the game's Properties, then Installed Files, then Verify integrity of game files. Let the verification finish before testing again; repeatedly running the same check without a changed result adds little information.

For graphics-related symptoms, compare the same location with a lower rendering load and ray tracing disabled, then restart when the setting requires it. Restore the previous option if it makes no difference instead of accumulating changes you can no longer explain. These are diagnostic comparisons, not guarantees of higher FPS, and this wiki has not benchmarked your particular hardware.

Read the attack before choosing your response

Blue and red attack cues call for different defensive actions. A blue flash is your cue to prepare a well-timed parry, while a red attack needs a dodge rather than an ordinary block. The useful timing is tied to the attack connecting, so watching the whole animation matters more than reflexively pressing a button at the first colored light.

Holding guard and performing a timed parry are not interchangeable. Guarding can keep ordinary hits from damaging your health, but it consumes Sha-Chi and can leave you exposed if you let the meter run out. A successful timed defense gives you a better opportunity to reduce the enemy's guard and create the opening that your heavy attacks need.

Practice one recognizable sequence at a time and judge whether your response happened too early or too late. The same color does not mean every enemy uses the same delay, and a multi-hit sequence can continue after your first successful defense. Keep watching until the combination actually ends before committing to a long attack or a medicine animation.

Know what the official release includes

The confirmed platforms in the collected official material are PlayStation 5 and PC. The game website provides links to PlayStation, Steam and the Epic Games Store, while the PlayStation FAQ explicitly rules out a PlayStation 4 version. A mention of a different platform in a discussion or a video title is not an announcement that the game is available there.

Phantom Blade Zero is a single-player, narrative-driven action RPG. Its official description emphasizes connected handcrafted regions with branching paths, side quests and secrets rather than either a conventional open world or a completely linear corridor. The same FAQ states that multiplayer modes are not supported, which matters when deciding whether it fits the kind of game you want to play.

The initial difficulty choices are Wayfarer, Pathbreaker and Hellwalker, with 66 Days presented as a separate unlockable challenge. Soul's sixty-six-day lifespan is part of the story, but the limited-life rule belongs to that special mode. Your ordinary first playthrough should not be treated as a race against sixty-six real-world days.

The official shader-cache recommendation

S-GAME also recommends rebuilding the game's shader cache when crashes or stuttering follow this update. The published cache path currently appears without directory separators, so confirm the exact cache folder with official support before removing files. This recommendation concerns shader-cache files, not the installation directory or saved games, and relaunching afterward triggers recompilation.
